FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

  • Devoted Yogi® offers no refunds on classes, workshops, or training canceled by students.

We do offer credit towards an alternative course, class, or training which must be registered for within a 1-Calendar year of the date of original purchase.

Students can transfer their credit into personalized coaching, yoga, breathwork, or a virtual option to offer more flexibility for pandemic-related reasons. All new schedules and registrations must be made within 1 year from the date of original purchase and initiated by the student.

  • Should Devoted Yogi® need to reschedule an event due to Covid-19 or other emergent reasons such as; government mandates, increment weather (smoke, snow, weather advisories), etc - students are welcome to attend a rescheduled event (which Devoted Yogi® will provide within 60 days) or follow the 1-year transfer of credit policy from date of purchase as listed above.

Classes, training and events CAN be transferred to another person by providing the new client’s name, email, phone and address and attaining written acknowledgment of transfer from the studio owner.

  • Because we know you signed up for a program to invest in your health and wellbeing and we want to ensure you fulfill that intent, even if it looks different than what we originally planned.

Rather than canceling our lives and yoga commitments based on external circumstances we ENCOURAGE our students to make it to their yoga practice - whatever shape it takes; via a rescheduled event, private work, group privates, gifting the practice, virtual work, etc.

    And also, the obvious...

Because the Washington state yoga/group fitness industry has been one of the hardest-hit small business industries in the country and we want to ensure we remain a business that can serve the community for years to come. That means continuing to work within our community, even when things keep changing and get challenging.

We hope that by being transparent and committed we can continue to serve you - body, mind & spirit.

  • Our training meets people where they are! The style of yoga we teach is an ashtanga-vinyasa-inspired practice with embodiment-based cueing and breathwork. It is designed for relatively healthy active individuals.

If you suffer from chronic or acute illness or are in recovery from an injury please consider private yoga as an assessment. Otherwise - let’s get on the mat and learn together!! See training options here.

  • And here is our best answer:

1 - The investment one makes to become more embodied, present and content - is, in our eyes, the MOST important investment of a lifetime. With this in mind, we aren’t scared to ask our students to commit, even if it costs a few extra dollars per class to do so.

2 - We are a value-based studio! If you aren’t happy with your classes at Devoted Yogi® we want to know, immediately. Because we care, a lot! And want to live our values in all that we do.

Additional food for thought: When studios offer steeply discounted rates to appeal to new students (rather than focusing on loyalty to present students) they often trade in quality for quantity.

Generally, there is a high turnover rate with instructors because yoga teachers aren’t paid a living wage, or given benefits #truthbomb.

We just can’t appreciate this system, therefore it may be a while before we step back into employing yoga teachers. Quality - then growth; when it happens it will be with integrity for teachers and studio owners.

  • A course or training.

Even as a business owner, single mom, and grad school student, I still prioritize time every year for deeper focus & reflection periods and I cannot recommend it enough.

If you want a deeply satisfying practice, you’ll need to choose a pathway to achieve that.

After your first immersive yoga experience, everything changes. It is a powerful choice to unplug and dive wholeheartedly into yourself and yoga with a like-minded community.

We host periodic Retreats, Training Modules and Immersive Style Class Series for this reason.
