Handstand Prep Clinic : Round 2

Students will have a gentle warm up and then dive into a series of great core stabilizing exercises that make inversions more accessible and fun. The goal of this workshop is to give students the tools to gradually turn their practice upside down.

Using the wall as a primary prop we will advance our inversions bit by bit.

Students should have basic yoga training and the ability to practice vinyasa as a prerequisite to the class. All levels and no free hand stands required, but play encouraged.

Drills will be easy to incorporate into your daily yoga and fitness routines.

Prepare to sweat, play and get inverted. Old tricks and new ones :)

Summer Nights Series is a seasonal Drop-In Adventure designed to uplift and meet the soul of summer head on. These Musically Driven (Think: Conscious Hip-Hop, Funk, World Beats) and Skillfully Sequenced classes are a blend of community, culture and traditional yoga shapes. Jenna will guide students through a progressive vinyasa flow designed to elevate the mind and unwind the body every Monday Night July 1 - August 19th!!! This is the ONLY Drop-In offering of 2019 - so bring a friend!!

Last year these wonderful Immersions spanned over 8 days, this year we will sprinkle the awareness of the endocrine system and yoga for hormonal balance through this dynamic, raw and deeply nourishing weekend experience for women.

  • Small Opening Circle & Wisdom of the Endocrine System

  • Vinyasa Yoga Flow to Music

  • Prayerful, Sweaty Trance Dance 

  • Meditative cool down with breath guidance.

Breathwork is returning in July!! This Sunday Workshop is 5 - 7:30 for a Breath Education and Ceremony all rolled into one.

This is the only Breathwork Session of the Summer.

Jenna will be hosting a ceremony with a 10 person maximum for a chance to sample the powerful nature of shamanic breathwork and circular breathing.

Before teaching asana full time, Jenna taught this form of Breath Awareness (Which is NOW finally gaining traction all over the globe) to students looking to surrender the mind entirely and shift into truly open and altered space.

Within the theta and delta brainwaves states invoked through this work, students access both their wisdom body and healing spontaneously. Even for those who have a more mellow journey - the re-oxygenation of blood is a hyper healing state for the physical body which often brings us into great health and vitality.

August Immersion: Hip and Heart Opening

During this Co-Ed Immersion students will begin to track patterns of movement within the body that keep the heart closed and hips tight. Sometimes, understanding what ISN’T serving us, is AS IMPORTANT as learning alignments opens the body.

What to Expect:

  • Overview of Healthy Patterns of Movement of Hip and Shoulder Joints.

  • Learning and Working WITH bodies in classroom to see and shift unhealthy movement patterns that keep shoulder tight and destabilized and patterns that tighten or overwork the hips.

  • A well sequenced 2 hour Yoga Class each day that progressive Opens the Heart and Opens the Hips with intelligence and efficacy.

  • A joyful, spirited approach to conscious movement and embodiment training.

  • A real hands on, experiential journey into heart and hip openers in Yoga.

Badass Basics: 6 Week Beginners Series is an invitation to couple good postural form with levity, alignment and humor. We will cover foundational hatha yoga shapes while offering students bite size yoga philosophy and meaningful reasons for taking the postures.

Learning the postures in this way - with a steady and strong foundation gives a lifetime of benefit to come. This class is recommended for those newer to yoga AND those that want to root out poor postural habits.

Badass Basics covers:

  • Yogic Breathing and Postures

  • Balanced Standing Sequences that allow for extended time in postures

  • Mindfulness Practices rooted in Non-dual teachings: how to embrace our thinking and emotion without the anxiety of trying to ‘heal’ or ‘fix’ anything.

  • Strength building, Flexibility and Restoration through Yoga.

  • Psoas/Core Building Exercises

  • Practical Yoga Philosophy & Yin Yoga

  • 75 minute Class plus Micro-Workshoping of postures with Q/A

Kali Ma: Wise Warrior Challenge is a LIVE 10 hour weekend Immersion into select teachings on Kali and her often misunderstood wisdom and blessing.

She is a bringer of truth. She is a lover of devotees. She is a force of nature airing on the side of dharma. She teaches surrender, vision and the path of pure unstoppable love.

She can teach us to hold healthy boundaries, love strong and forgive with insight.

We will study and embody the myth and energy of Kali as a female form of protectress and Warrior - along with her invitation to enjoy surrender to the Mother Goddess (death and rebirth) in all aspects of life.

  • Asanas Include: heart strengthening poses, hip opening poses and deep seated and supine twist variations.

  • Meditations include: Silent Meditation, Chanting Meditation and Guided Meditation.

  • Personal Inquiry Includes: Journaling and Partner Practices.

Teachings Include: Stories from Gospel of Sri Rama Krishna, Devi Gita and Tantric Yoga and the Wisdom Goddesses by Dr. David Frawley

There is follow up home practice for those that want full 15 YACEP Continuing Education Hours.

This Advanced YACEP Class is for Women Only. It can be taken for personal interest or to qualify for 15 hours of Continuing Ed with Yoga Alliance.
